Minutes of the Alpaca Research Foundation Meeting
September 20, 2010
Present: Abe Rosenbloom, Allan Dewald, Lisa Williamson, Randy
Larson, Karen Baum, Patricia Craven, Pat Long, and Michelle Ing. The meeting
began at 6:10pm PST.
Old Business:
August Minutes: Randy moved to approve, Allan seconded.
Unanimously approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Please see treasurer’s report for full
details. Allan moved to approve, Karen seconded. Unanimously approved.
Development Committee: Susan Foreman is working on a memorial
article for Alpacas Magazine on members who have passed away recently. McGyver’s
Balboa and Aussie 38 Special are the choices for the Suri and Huacaya ARF Stud
Raffle in 2011.
MAF & LMRG Update: Allan reports the LMRG met last wed.
Sep 15.
Meeting the Challenges of Genetic Improvement: A Call for
abstracts went out. A Letter offering sponsorships also went out. The official
website is camelidconference.org.
New Business:
MAF Proposal Review: Allan started the discussion on the proposal review. 5
proposals were reviewed.
The next meeting was scheduled for October 18, 2010.
The meeting was adjourned
at 7:05pm PST. Abe moved to adjourn, Karen seconded.
